Paul and Linda’s Story

“Our finances needed fixing”

Paul & Linda’s Challenge

After closing their business and having to sell their home interstate, Paul and Linda knew they needed to fix their finances as they reached their mid-50s. Linda wanted a home to call their own (hopefully in an upmarket part of Melbourne) and to stop renting. Paul just wanted Linda to be happy. Family was very important to both, and so was ethical investing.

The Outcome

By working with Paul and Linda, we helped them prioritise what was most important, and the steps to get there – they were really excited!!

Paul and Linda were able to increase their savings, make the move to more ethical investments, and buy a new home. They also managed a family holiday with their grown-up kids!

How We Did It

  1. We began by reviewing Paul and Linda’s finances, spending, savings and insurances.

  2. We researched and provided then with information about sustainable investment choices that aligned with their lifestyle/ financial requirements and their values  - Paul decided to change to a “more ethical” super option.

  3. We advised on tax-efficient income strategies to boost savings and super balances.
